The Fruit of Our Labor

Country Boy and I woke up to foggy, overcast skies.  As we drank our coffee on the front porch, we chatted about our desires for our future while watching the hummingbirds buzz around and drink from the feeder.  Since we weren't sure what the weather was going to do today, we decided it was a good day to make some jelly!

What started out as this...

...ended up as this...

Four pints of yummy possum grape jelly!  Mmmm!  Toast & jelly anyone!

Till next time,

Beautiful jelly and nothing is better than homemade on a good hot biscuit!

My family grew grapes and made jelly when I was a kid - soooo good! i'd love to plant grapes around our place now.

Just wonderful – how great to have this as a reminder of summer all through the year. I would love to can fruit but birds get most of ours and that's okay with us.

Have a great weekend and thanks for your visit!

Came over from "The Blue Ridge Gal" to be you #50 :)

Grapes are a big deal here in the fingerlakes region of NY. There is a grape festival in Naples every September. I would love to grow my own. Yours look beautiful.
