Yesterday, we woke up to a cloudy, rainy day. While our crops were loving the rain, we were a bit concerned that if the rain continued throughout the day, it would ruin a lot of Halloween and Fall Festival activities. Thankfully, the rain stopped by the afternoon and the sun shone brilliantly!
Our church hosted a Fall Festival for anyone in the community who wanted to join in on the fun...
There was a bounce house...
food...
a spooky house...
and LOTS of candy for the kids!
even the adults helped celebrate...
and my dear, sweet Country Boy was a pirate, arrgh! (I was dressed as a pirate as well, but thankfully, I was behind the camera!)
Tons of fun was had by all till the sun went down...
Afterwards, Country Boy and I headed over to our local ice cream shoppe for Trunk or Treat and a kids costume contest. Prizes were awarded for the best decorated car. In first place...
Very creative! He won $100 worth of ice cream from the shoppe! Yumm!

Unfortunately, my camera battery died after this shot so I was not able to get any photos of the kids costume contest. There were some really great costumes too!

LOL I would have NEVER recognized CB!! Wish I could have seen you in costume! For what it was worth, the pups and I stayed barricaded in the computer room with all the lights off since we were home alone. :( A very quiet Halloween at the Shutta' house.
