Letchworth State Park

On our way to visit my other brother, we drove through Letchworth State Park in Castile, NY.  What a beautiful park!  It is renowned as "The Grand Canyon of the East".  The Genesee River roars through the gorge over three waterfalls, as high as 600 feet in some places.

There is a bunch of geese in the center of the following photo...

There are 66 miles of hiking for hikers to choose from.  There are also trails for horseback riding, biking, snowmobiling and cross country skiing.

Glen Iris Inn
During the summer months the historic, completely renovated Inn offers overnight accommodations and is open to the public for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

We then went on to visit with my other brother.  We drove through some beautiful country side!  (Pardon the blur on these... they were taken through the window of a moving car!)

We toured the salt mine where he works and then we all went to Applebee's for a yummy dinner!  Good times with family!

Till next time,
