More Butterflies

We've had a lot of butterfly action around here lately.
In fact, we've had more butterflies this year than I think we've ever had.
Lots of different ones too.

It's fun and a challenge to photograph the different butterflies.

Some are constantly moving while others are fairly still.

It's been a pleasure having all these butterflies flit around the yard.

I've tried for years to plant butterfly plants to attract them but would only get a few butterflies here and there and then the plant wouldn't survive.

This year, I've done nothing to attract them yet I have lots of them and a nice variety too.

Go figure!

What is attracting them is this tree in our yard that's not doing well.
It's oozing some sort of sweet sap that's attracting them.
(Along with all other sorts of flying insects like yellow jackets, flies, beetles, etc.)
It's a sweet buffet!

I hope y'all have a wonderful weekend!

Till next time,
