Goodbye 2013

Throughout the course of a year many things happen in our lives.  Some good.  Some bad.  It's inevitable.  It's life.  It's how we react and handle these things that is important and helps create our character.

As I get older, I find myself, more and more, reflecting over the events of the previous year and ponder what I have learned from them and try to determine how I will use these events to help shape my future.

Reflections - Teton Mountains
Thankfully, 2013 was a pretty good year for us...

After being apart for most of the previous year due to job circumstances we were happy to be together this year.  AND, after another health scare with CountryBoy the year before, we were doubly happy and blessed to have another year together!  Enjoy every moment you have with your loved ones.

We were thrilled to have friends from home come for a visit where we got to reconnect, play tour guides and make some wonderful memories.

We were able to do some traveling and sightseeing around the beautiful western countryside.

CountryBoy was blessed with a good job, some time off to rest and relax in between jobs and blessed again with another good job.

We have been able to pay off debts and put some money away for our future.

We have learned to live comfortably in a very small space.

We have learned that less truly is more.

We have witnessed how earnest prayer, herbs and real food can heal a body...  and that when God created our bodies He also created the plants and food necessary to sustain a healthy body and that it is our responsibility to partake of those foods and to seek Him for healing.

It has been a good year for us and we are truly thankful and are looking forward to 2014 and what it may bring.

I hope 2013 was good to you.  Even if it wasn't, I hope that you will still reflect on it and take away something positive from the events that took place.  There's always next year... a clean slate!

Till next time,

Seems 2013 certainly had many good outcomes for you. It's good to look back and remember these as you have done.
