I'm not physically going a mile a minute but my brain sure is!
Does that happen to you especially around the start of a new year?
For me, it usually starts sometime in December. And then, it picks up speed during the holidays until I think I'm going to derail and/or explode!
My mind races with things that I want to do or get done before the holidays, during the holidays and then, of course, after the holidays. And then the new years resolutions/goals start popping up here and there leaving me anxiously awaiting the new year. A fresh start. A time to reflect on the previous year and ponder the upcoming year.
Now, we're nine days into the new year and I've already run out of steam. I wonder why in the world I got so worked up in the first place?!
We usually don't make any new year resolutions because they tend to be quickly forgotten but I do like to set a few goals that I'd like to accomplish throughout the new year. I, personally, think everyone should have a few goals in mind that they would like to accomplish. Reasonable, doable goals. Whether those goals are personal, financial or spiritual I think having goals helps keep an individual, or family, focused and helps them grow.

I made a list of my goals for 2014 and will be sharing a few of them with y'all soon. By sharing them, it will help me be accountable and will, hopefully, keep me on track.
I am also thinking about some changes to my blog. Life has changed for CountryBoy and I during last year and I've found that the original intent of this blog is not taking place, i.e., stories about farm and country life. We hope that one day we will own a small farm and then, I'm sure, I will have plenty of stories!
But, for now, my focus is on making our 5th wheel a home away from home. It's on keeping myself occupied for the long and many hours that CountryBoy is at work through crafts and reading. It's on learning more ways to get healthy and stay healthy through diet, supplements or herbal remedies. It's on developing a home apothecary. Learning to live simply. And that's just to name a few.
So, all that being said, I'm not sure this is the appropriate venue to share all that. I am thinking about creating another blog so that those of you who have no interest in those topics don't have to succumb to my 'non-farm life drivel' on this blog any longer.
If you are interested in any of the topics that I mentioned and would like to follow along with me on that journey please leave a comment that you would like to do so and I will notify you of the new blog address as I will not be posting it here. (Note: if you have 'No Reply' checked in your preferences I will not be able to email you. You can either change your settings or leave your email address in your comment.)
This blog will remain open and I will occasionally post photos about traveling and life on the road as well as my list of goals for this year.
I also want to thank those of you who have hung in there with me throughout the past year. Much has changed and yet you're still here. THANK YOU!
And, since I always like to share a photo with you I want to show you the road in front of our 'house' and the road LizzieBelle and I walk down every afternoon to give PJ a carrot!
See LizzieBelle? And if you look further up the road you'll see her friend Lucy, a boxer pup full of energy! They love to run and play in the dry river bed (created during Monsoon season but dry the rest of the year) which is at the base of the hills at the right of the photo.
And here's PJ...
Isn't she beautiful? She's the neighbor's daughters horse. They barrel race. I'd love to watch them compete.
The sun is coming up and I must get on with my day.
Again, don't forget to leave a comment if you'd like to follow along in our journey towards a simple, healthy life!
Till next time my friends...

Yes, I'd be interested in following the new blog. I think your lifestyle living in a fifth wheel is fascinating! Glad you're back to blogging. :)
My blog has no theme and is completely eclectic so that I can blog about any subject. No need to tie yourself into one thing when blogging... xox
I will follow you wherever you go. :) Why not just keep this one and change it up to be what you want it to be. Then, at least, you still have some history and all your "stuff" is in one place. Just a thought. :)
You should just keep on blogging here...life takes many turns and it never stays the same. It's all about watching you grow in what ever you do and not so much about one topic...I can't speak for anyone else but its about you and your life not so much about farming or even living on a farm. Life and home is where ever YOU are. I vote that you keep right where you are. We lived in a 5th wheel for 2.5 years when we first moved to the country and believe it or not I miss those days! I love reading about your days since it brings fond memories of my days back.
Just consider your blog a "lifestyles" blog - that is what I call mine. It has everything in it from book reviews to political rants to farming to writing to health concerns. It is MY blog and if people don't want to read it they don't have. It is nice to have community and I enjoy the comments I receive, but I consider that an extra, not the reason I blog. I would like to follow you if you go elsewhere, though. Actually, leaving *blogger* might not be a bad idea, I am thinking we all need to get away from Google. It seems to have forgotten its "don't be evil" motto. Good luck whatever you decide!
Please keep me on your list!
My blog post topics jump all over the place -- no rhyme or reason at times -- I just can't seem to settle down to one thing. Glad to see you are staying here. :)
