Love Bugs & Boat Preparations

There are two times a year here in Central Florida that I just can't stand.  And that would be love bug season.  It happens twice a year, now and usually sometime in September and lasts for 3 weeks or more.  For those of you who have never experienced love bugs, count your blessings.  They are horrible creatures.  Not that they bite or sting  or anything, but that they swarm.  And they land on you.  And they get into the house.  And they love to hover over roads and highways en masse.  And they can ruin a car.  Pardon the following graphic content... Viewer Discretion advised!

Most of them are attached to another hence the name Love Bug.

The yellow goop... becomes very acidic when dried and will pit the paint on your car.  It's also very difficult to get the dried ones off when washing the car.

Disgusting and aggravating.  Grrr!

They're even on the hummingbird feeders.

I hope these next few weeks go by quickly!

Country Boy has been hankerin' to do some fishing.  In fact, ever since the azaleas started blooming.  Something about the crappy are biting when the azaleas are in bloom.  So, he decided it was time to get his boat ready!

Not quite sure what he is checking out on the motor but he sure is concentrating!

Hopefully he'll be able to do some fishing on Thursday.  And HOPEFULLY, he will catch some fish!  It's one thing to go fishing... it's another to actually bring home some fish *smile*!  Although, I think the old saying may be true... A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work!  Or something like that!

I have started designing a button for my blog.  It's fun!  Reminds me of my Graphic Designer days!  I'm not sure if I'll be able to figure out how to actually get it ON my blog but we'll see.  I have several ideas in mind for the button so it might take me awhile to narrow it down to my favorite!

I hope you're having a terrific Tuesday!

Till next time,
