John's Pass Village and Boardwalk in Madeira Beach

For my birthday, Country Boy and I headed south on the interstate for about an hour and a half to spend the day at one of my favorite locations... John's Pass!  It was overcast and we hit a couple of rain showers on the way but we didn't let that stop us!

It was still cloudy and overcast when we first arrived but not very crowded so we walked along the boardwalk and took some pictures.  LOTS of pictures!  But don't be alarmed!!!  I will break them up into several posts rather than one or two long ones!

I'm standing on the boardwalk looking across the waterway.

There were some beautiful hibiscus plants where we parked.

As we were walking out of one of the shops on the boardwalk I happened to look down and noticed the boardwalk itself...

Very worn and weathered with grains of sands embedded in the cracks.

These really cool lights were hanging over an open-air bar area that overlooks the water.

I'm not sure what kind of flowers these are but I thought they were pretty and reminded me of fireworks!

This just might be one of my favorite shots!  All the colors and the way the rope is hanging over the pilings just waiting for the boat to return.

There is a very beach-weathered restaurant on the boardwalk named Sculley's that I enjoy photographing.

The Rock Pigeon looks like a hood ornament!

This restaurant/bar is behind the boardwalk.  It's very colorful and tropical and I thought the railings were quite creative!
Do you have a favorite?

I hope everyone enjoyed the holiday weekend.  We spent the afternoon at my folks'.  The boys played golf and we ate way too much!  Good times!

Till next time,
