The Power of Words

We bloggers know how powerful words can be.  We may take 15 minutes to write a post or hours trying to convey what is on our minds or in our hearts so that our readers will be touched in some way.  I have read many blogs that have written a post that have warmed my heart, made me stop and think, took me to another place, made me cry or just downright made me burst out laughing!  So many times, it was all in how the author worded the message that made the post memorable.

My Mom sent me the following video via email.  I had no idea what it was about or what effect it would have on me.  At the end... I had tears in my eyes.

After drying my eyes, I said a prayer thanking God for my eyesight so that I can enjoy my photography, write on my blog and read other great blogs; for all the blessings that He has bestowed upon me that I so often take for granted.

Words, whether spoken or written, can encourage, uplift, console or even hurt people.  Life is short, let's make an effort to speak and write positive words whether it's online or in person!  All of the blogs that I follow try and do just that which I think is awesome (which is probably why I follow them in the first place *smile*)!

I hope you're having a great Sunday and are ready for a brand new week of encouraging others or making them smile!

Till next time,

This is a great post, I agree, words are so very powerful...and thanks for sharing this video clip. It brought me to tears, but mostly, it made me think of how blessed I am, and no matter how bad I think I have it healthwise, ect. There are ALWAYS many, MANY others that struggle in this life more than I could ever even imagine.

Hugs

Words, photos, art...can make the world a more beautiful place. I watch the news every day and it takes hours to overcome what I've seen. Maybe my little blog will help in a small way. xo Jenny
