Two Steps Forward

... five steps back.

Do you ever feel like that?

You know, when you think you're making progress towards a goal and then WHAM...
you're further behind then when you started.

I'm going to be honest with y'all.

I'm feeling blah today.

I'm feeling as though I've made no progress whatsoever towards one of our goals for this year.  In fact, I feel like I've gone backwards.

There must be a reason.

I keep asking the Lord what He wants to teach me through all this.

I don't have the answer.  Yet.

I won't burden you with my woes.  I just thought I'd open up a bit and tell you where I'm at right now.

I did have a smile on my face when I spotted this today...

He's been hanging around the yard this afternoon.

As I began this post, he was getting a drink from the bird bath.  Cause for another smile!

I hope you are smiling as we head into this Super Bowl weekend!  I don't even know who's playing nor do I care but, if you're in to football, then I hope you enjoy the big game!

Have a great weekend!

Till next time,

The woodpecker photos are spectacular. What a handsome guy.
Don't worry too much about being behind. God has good plans for you, and you may be right on schedule with His plans.

We don't always have to mark something off the "to do list" in order for the day to be a success :-)Chin up :-) Super Bowl Commercials and junk food are just a couple of days away!

Sometimes busyness keeps us from hearing from the Lord. He has plans for you each day & maybe He's saying "slow down". I didn't know your middle name was John. :)

love your pileated visitor! i hope you do not get discouraged. i, too, feel completely lost and alone some days, and i just have to remember to ask my angels for guidance. they are all around me and just waiting to hear my plea for help...

Realness. I like real. Thanks for sharing that bit of realness. I know your tomorrow and the coming days will be bringing you closer to your goals, or God will help you rearrange or change up if they are not in line with what He has for you. I hope you have a super weekend too! We are aiming towards a less than junkie food weekend with the SB.
