Homosassa Springs Favorites, Part 3

Are you ready to continue our 'walk' around the park?

Here we have a Roseate Spoonbill sitting on her nest...

Sandhill crane...

The Whooping Crane is similar in appearance to the Sandhill Crane except for their coloring.  Can you spot the differences?

Burrowing owls...

Barn owls...

I can't remember the name of this owl...

Hawks...

Soggy hawk having a bad hair day...

This squirrel came running right up to me and posed.  I think he wanted his picture taken too!

I like the ferns hanging over the water and the tiny waterfall...

I like the softness of these ferns too.  It looks very tropical to me...

It's amazing that this tree hasn't fallen into the water...

Really pretty man-made waterfall and pond...

A Florida native plant, the Wild Poinsettia...

And this guy should have been in yesterday's post, the Wood Stork...

Tomorrow we'll go under water!

Till next time,

They are all wonderful to see the cranes nesting. The look like the storks here in Holland but more colorful. Thanks for sharing. xo Jenny

Wonderful! Those owls with the unknown name look more like statues than real creatures. Fantastic shots.
