Monday.
The beginning of the work week.
Even though I am a housewife and do not work outside the home,
Monday's are still the beginning of the work week for me.
Now that I'm a full-time housewife, I actually like Mondays.
That's because I truly enjoy my 'job' of taking care of
my husband, the house, the yard, the animals, etc.
This morning, the sun is shining after a week of rain promising a productive day.
We've really needed the rain so it's been a blessing and I've enjoyed it
but I do find it hard to get motivated when it rains.
So after a non-motivated week last week I have quite a few things on this week's agenda.
The first being writing this post.
I haven't felt like blogging much since I returned from New York a couple of weeks ago.
As my fellow bloggers know, it's time-consuming.
Time I didn't want to spend on blogging.
I also try to keep my posts upbeat and last week I wasn't feeling very upbeat.
So, consider it as a favor that I didn't post while I was not feeling very chipper!
Dad and I finished the duck pond/enclosure last week. Finally!
I will write more on that later but it's been a frustrating
week trying to get the ducks used to the new area.
Can I just say that they're not the smartest animal the Good Lord created!
Sigh.
Back to my agenda for today...
Is it just me, or do you find that during the lovely Spring months when the earth is coming alive
and the weather is so nice that the house tends to be forgotten?
I find it difficult to do any Spring cleaning indoors when the weather is so nice outdoors!
(I also tend to do the outdoor Spring cleaning before the indoor Spring cleaning.)
So while my yard and gardens are looking nice the house sits neglected.
Therefore, today, I must tend to some indoor chores,
and yes, even though the sun is shining, sigh.... it's time!
I won't be doing any Spring cleaning but the basics need to be done, at least.
In between the rest of the farm and house chores, I'll be spending the rest of the week purchasing
supplies and preparing the crafts I've chosen for our church's upcoming Vacation Bible School.
Lots of work to be done for that.
I'm still tackling the mounds of paperwork in the office
and I have a couple of sewing and crochet projects in mind
along with tweaking the new pond.
It's gonna be a busy and (hopefully) productive week!
