Morning By Morning

“Great is Thy faithfulness, Great is Thy faithfulness,
Morning by morning new mercies I see:
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me!”
Thomas O. Chisholm & William M. Runyan –
“Great is Thy Faithfulness”

I love this old hymn!  Even though it was written in the early 1900's, I think it's perfect for today and serves as a gentle reminder that God is still in control and faithful even during rough times.  He has continually provided for all of my needs and even a few of my wants in times past and during this rough, economical time.  He is so faithful even when I am not; for that, I am grateful!

It was foggy yesterday morning as Country Boy and I headed out to check our crops.  I ran back into the house and grabbed my camera because foggy mornings make for great picture taking!

The sunrays peeking through our backyard.

Country Boy found these flowers yesterday climbing along the fence in the chicken run. I think they are morning glories because they close up in the evening,

I was very excited about this plant because I've always wanted a climbing, flowering plant on my fences but have not had any success because of the shade and the sand.  I didn't want it in the chicken run though *laugh* because once we get our chickens, it will disappear!

I thought about adding a 'second fence' in the chicken run to keep the chickens away but I think I'll try to transplant it instead.

I just hope it survives the move!  Any suggestions on how to transplant a native plant?

So pretty!

Every morning offers us a fresh start... a chance to choose how our day is going to be.  An opportunity to see the glass as half full rather than half empty.  Is your glass going to be half full today?  Are you grateful that your needs are being met?

Till next time,
