Action Shots

I took these photos the other day while sitting in a chair that's a few feet from one of the hummingbird feeders.  I've been playing around with different settings on my camera to get some stop action shots.  Here's what I got that day...

These are just a few of my male and female Ruby-Throated hummingbirds that are swarming my feeders now.

I'm not 100% pleased with these shots so I'll keep playing with settings until I get it right.  I'm still trying to figure how to get enough light in the photo with such a fast shutter speed and not have it turn out grainy.  Simple, huh?  Any tips for me from any of you photographers out there?

Till next time,

Do you have an exposure button/setting where you can "up" it a bit? I usually set mine on +.3 or more, depending on the day or subject.
